VS ch5- Truth revealed

Alexander had been sick for a week, so I started getting worried. Was he ok? Is he really sick? What does He have? All those thoughts and more were buzzing around in my head. Was it food poisoning? Did I get him sick somehow?  There was only one thing I could do; go see him. I was kinda worried about seeing him. I knew nothing about his family. Had he told his parents about me? What kinda things had they said about me? Did he have sibling? What were his parents like? I kept freaking myself out with all the questions I couldn't answer and all the scenarios I thought of that ended badly. By the end of School I knew what I had to do, put my fears aside and walk to his house.

-Wow- I thought as I stood there looking at the mansion. I looked at the mailbox  and it read "Night". -yep this is the place- I thought with a sigh. I walked up to the door and just before I knocked the door was opened by a women. She was a little on the taller side, she had long blond hair, pale flawless skin, and large blue eyes.

"Hello? May I help you?" She asked

"oh, I'm sorry! I'm Michaela, Michaela Soul! And I was worried about Alexander but it looks like you're handling it fine! So I guess I'll go!" I turned to walk away but the women gently grabbed my arm.

"Michaela Soul? as in Alexander's girlfriend Michaela?" she asked smiling

"Y-yes ma'am" I answer feeling like an idiot because she looked barley older then me. She let out a giggle.

"Nice to meet you Miss Michaela, I'm Sarah Night, Alexander's mom" Sarah said with a smile.-M-mom?! She looks like she's 17!- I thought.

"M-Mom? You only look 17!" I blurted out without acknowledging it until it was too late

"17 huh? My husband will love to hear that"   Sarah said smiling

"I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it like that!" I tried to apologize. She giggled again.

"It's alright sweet-heart! I get that all the time!"  She explained

"O-ok if you say so... Can I see Alexander now?"  I stuttered. Sarah frowned.

"I'm not sure Sweety, He's sick, I don't want you to catch what he has" She sympathized, "I'm sorry you came all this way"

"please! Let me see! please let me see Alexander!" I begged, "I beg of you!"

She let out a sigh "fine, you may see him" She said looking me in the eyes with hypnotic blue eyes.

"Th-thank you" I smiled as those words slipped off my tongue. She just scuffed and walked back inside. I followed her inside and looked around -It looks bigger on the inside- I thought.

"Don't dilly-dally!" Sarah called form on top for the stairs

"Oh, I'm sorry, Ms. Night, I'll be right there!" I called to her, racing up the stairs. She sighed and continued walking down the long, dark hallway. And, thanks to my fear of the dark, it wasn't a very pleasant walk. She stopped in front of a pure black door with a skull painted on it.

"This is Alexander's room. Make your visit quick," She instructed me, and walked away. I took a deep breath. -Should I really do this?- I thought. I slowly reached down for the doorknob. It was so quiet, it was really odd. I opened the door, and saw Alexander laying there motionless on his bed. My heart skipped a beat.

"A-Alexander, are you okay?" I stuttered. He gave no reply. My eyes began to fill with tears. I heard him grumble and roll over on his bed.

"Yes, Miss Michaela, what is wrong?" He said in a weak, sickly voice. I looked up suddenly at the sound of his voice.

"Alexander, you're okay!" I ran over and hugged him, tears of joy spilling over my cheeks. He let out a little moan of pain. "I'm sorry!" I said, quickly releasing him.

He sighed. "It's alright, Miss Michaela."  He looked me in the eyes with a serious expression upon his face. "Michaela, there is something I need to tell you. I am not human. I am not like you. The reason I'm sick is because I haven't had blood... I am a vampire." I stood there, in total shock and horror of what I had just heard.
